2019 Ford Ranger Trim Levels

The new Ford Ranger is available in three basic trim levels. The entry-level trim is the XL, with the XLT standing as the mid-level trim, and the Lariat forming the top-of-the-line luxury trim. It's available as either an extended SuperCab with a 6-foot bed, or as a SuperCrew with a 5-foot bed.

All trim levels are powered by a 2.3L EcoBoost® 4-cylinder engine that delivers 270 horsepower and generates 310 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, that engine works alongside an electronic 10-speed automatic transmission.

Base XL Trim Level

At the base level, you'll get features like 16-inch steel wheels and a manual tailgate on the exterior. You'll also get automatic headlights for reliable visibility, power windows and air conditioning for convenience, and an infotainment system with AM/FM radio, six speakers, a 3.5-inch display, and USB and auxiliary ports.

Additionally, you'll find a Rear View Camera and Trailer Sway Control to help keep you safe out on the roads. Plus, with advanced features like Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking standard, you'll be all set for the adventures ahead.

Mid-Range XLT

Next up, the XLT gives you all the features above, including the safety features that come as part of the Ford Co-Pilot360™ Technology bundle. However, you'll now get even more safety features included standard, such as BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert, a Lane-Keeping System, Automatic High Beams, and a Forward and Reverse Sensing System.

You'll also have the option to upgrade your infotainment system in this trim level to the SYNC® 3 setup. Even if you forgo the upgrade, you'll still enjoy the standard system, which includes FordPass Connect™ with 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Equipped with this, you'll have constant connectivity no matter where the journey takes you.

Range-Topping Lariat

At the top of the line, you'll get 18-inch machined aluminum wheels and LED exterior lights in the front and back. An LED cargo lamp helps you find what you need in back, while power heated seats make sure that you're comfortable all the time. Combine all that with the luxurious leather upholstery and dual-zone automatic climate control, and you're in for a treat.

The infotainment system also goes up a notch with an 8-inch touchscreen, and the SYNC® 3 system now comes standard. With this, you can enjoy such amenities as SiriusXM® Satellite Radio, Apple CarPlay™, and Android Auto™.

Individual Options and Packages

A number of options and packages are available to enhance your drives even further. For instance, the FX4 Off-Road Package allows you to equip your vehicle with such upgrades as off-terrain tires with an aggressive tread, heavy-duty front skid plates, and a Terrain Management System™ with Trailer Control™, all of which will help you dutifully conquer any terrain.

On the other hand, if you're looking to haul and tow a lot of cargo, you may want to consider the Trailer Tow Package. With this, you'll receive towing essentials like a 4-pin/7-pin wiring harness and class IV trailer hitch receiver, enabling you to tow up to 7,500 pounds.
