the lovingly restored John Harris/Cameron Mansion, home to the Historical
Society of Dauphin. This majestic building dates back to the 1700s. Secretary
of War, Simon Cameron, renovated this historical building in the mid-1800s. It

The Pennsylvania State Museum
is also nearby, directly across from Independence Island in Harrisburg and only
