Enola, Pennsylvania was named by Wes Miller, in a roundabout way. He sold a couple of acres of his land to the local railroad. In gratitude, they told him he could name the train station. Mr. Miller named it, "Enola," after his daughter. Pretty soon, the rest of the townspeople just began calling everything, such as the post office, "Enola," until the town finally became known as Enola.

Just several miles from Enola are a couple of points of interest. One is the National Civil War Museum. This museum houses 4,400 artifacts that belonged to figures such as Robert E. Lee and Abraham Lincoln, as well as many items used by ordinary soldiers. There is also an interesting attraction, which is called, "Lifting Spirits?Ghost Tours in Gettysburg."

Gettysburg is known as one of the most haunted places in America, and this tour includes the eerie Covered Bridge, and the site near John Socks' home, where the Confederate Army made a field hospital for their wounded. The event is hosted by the Lifting Spirits Paranormal Society. Speaking of lifting spirits, there is a Ford dealer near Enola that has been doing that with its cars since 1954. In fact, you can get there by heading north on Silver Springs Road, exit right on Carlisle Pike to 6320, Carlisle Pike. Fred Beans Ford began in a small garage, but the business expanded to acres of cars because the owner put customers before everything else in his business.

A vehicle to have a look at is the 2014 Ford F-350, ten-foot stake body. This 4x4 has automatic transmission, and a 6.7 liter 8-cylinder engine. If you're going to visit a Ford dealer near Enola, swing by Fred Beans Ford. They have children's facilities, fresh coffee, and clean restrooms, along with TV and Internet. There are plenty of fascinating things to do and see in Enola, and this Enola Ford dealership is just one of many.
