The Ford F-150, the Original Work Truck

Everyone knows that Dillsburg, PA is Ford country. America's original automobile manufacturer has an impressive line of trucks, SUV's and crossovers that anyone in the area is sure to love. However when you say work truck in the keystone state, an image of a Ford Tough F-150 comes to mind. There are actually 3 different versions of this model and each of them are available in a number of trims. The 2014 F-150 continues the long tradition of Ford trucks that redefine hard working, reliable pickups that fit virtually anyone's demands.

For extra power, the XLT trim has an available 5.0 liter V-8 engine that still gets 21 mpg on the highway. The twin turbo charged V-6 available on the Limited trim puts out 365 hp and 420 lb/ft of torque. This beast can rip up the road, accelerating from 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds. This trim is also available in a 4x4 and both have a standard, 5.6 foot bed.

The 2014 Explorer, the World's Best SUV

The Ford Explorer is synonymous with the term SUV and the 2014 model may be the most stylish,  light SUV on the road. The 2014 Explorer is all truck, built on the same chassis as the F-150. It does get substantially better gas mileage though as the 3.5 liter V-6 base model achieves 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. The Explorer is also one of the safest vehicles on the road, earning a five out of five star rating from government crash tests.

With the exception of the 2 door sport trim, all 2014 Explorers have a 3.5 liter V-6 that puts out 290 hp and 255 lb/ft of torque. The 4 wheel drive XLT trim can go from 0-60 mph in 8.1 seconds while getting a respectable 17 mpg within the city and 24 mpg on the highway.

Crossover to Ford

The 2014 Escape maintains the same cozy good looks that were implemented last year. The Escape looks more like a wagon than an SUV now and it's a great improvement. The 2014 is built from a Ford Focus platform and it handles more like a car than previous Escapes. The 2014 is extremely safe, earning a 4 out of 5 star rating in government crash tests. Side curtain air bags, driver and passenger airbags and driver knee airbags are standard on every trim so the cabin is protected from all angles.

The newest member of Ford's truck and SUV line is the sporty Edge. This handsome crossover is more truck than the Escape without looking too much like the Explorer. The Edge is also available in a 2 door sport trim which averages 19 mpg on the highway and 27 in the city. The optional, turbo charged, EcoBoost gets up to 30 mpg on the highway and 21 in the city. There is also a 3.7 liter V-6 trim of the 2014 Edge and it can generate 305 hp and 280 lb/ft of torque. This trim also accelerates from 0-60 in just 7.5 seconds, making it one of the sportiest crossovers on the open road.

From cars to truck, to SUV's and crossovers, the new 2014 Fords are leaving the critics speechless. There's no better time to test drive a Ford and see the difference for yourself.
