It doesn't matter how well you prepared for your upcoming road trip, you have to set aside some time to plan for a safe trip or you could wind up on the side of the highway stranded.

Here are some road trip safety tips for your consideration.
  1. Keep some jumper cables in the car in case your battery goes dead on the trip.
  2. Bring a gallon of engine coolant to take care of an overheating engine.
  3. Pack some flashlights and spare batteries in case you are stuck in the dark.
  4. A roll of duct tape can make all the difference in getting a minor repair fixed.
  5. Be sure that you have a spare tire and that it has plenty of air.
  6. Bring a box with a large assortment of tools to make any quick repairs to the car.
