This morning, we learned the exciting news that, for the seventh year in a row, Ethisphere Institute has named Ford Motor Company to its list of World's Most Ethical Companies. With consumers placing increasing importance on business ethics, the list aims to recognize companies that mandate ethical practices and promote corporate citizenship.

According to the 2016 Harris Poll Reputation Quotient, more than half of the respondents will research a company before doing business with them. Furthermore, more than one-third will refuse to do business with companies with a negative reputation. A global leader in defining and advancing ethical business practices, Ethisphere Institute evaluates companies based on five categories: ethics and compliance, corporate citizenship and responsibilities, culture of ethics, governance and leadership and reputation.

“Ford understands that trust is the cornerstone of everything it does, and their commitment to being an active part of a global community helps explain why they are the only automaker Ethisphere has recognized every year since 2010,” said Timothy Erblich, Ethisphere’s Chief Executive Officer. “Being honored for the seventh time is no small achievement. Congratulations to everyone at Ford for being recognized.”
