It's finally Throwback Thursday! We've had this one particular video up our sleeves for a bit now, and we're eager to share it.

As you may have noticed in recent months, the guys over at MotorWeek have opened up their archives to the general public, slowly releasing footage of some of their best reviews, the best (and worst) vehicles from the '80s and '90s, and the best haircuts this side of the 20th century. Relatively recently, they shared a clip of a 1983 Ford Escort GT review, and we loved to see this performance-minded economy car do just one more lap in the spotlight!

The Escort was once of the bestselling Ford vehicles of the '80s, and it continued to dominate the 2-door hatchback market until its retirement in 2002. The Escort was ultimately replaced by the classy and capable Ford Focus back in 2000, and it's been dominating the compact-car segment ever since with its plethora of high-tech features, sophisticated style and sporty driving character.

We invite you to celebrate TBT by checking out this MotorWeek retro review below (and then dropping by the showroom here at McCafferty Ford of Mechanicsburg to experience the Escort successor, the 2015 Focus, for yourself):
