The Ford-150 is charging forward with the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning, the first ever all-electric F-Series truck. Zero fuel, zero emissions, and all truck, the Lightning provides the same F-150 experience you've come to know and love, so you can keep working, and playing, just as hard.

For drivers around Mechanicsburg, Carlisle, and Harrisburg, PA, we took a peek at the electrifying future of the F-150 Lightning, coming soon to Fred Beans Ford of Mechanicsburg.

With its standard-range battery, you'll be able to drive the F-150 Lightning a targeted EPA-estimated range of 230 miles on a full charge. You can go even farther with the available extended-range battery, which will take you a targeted EPA-estimated 300 miles. That's enough to take you from Harrisburg to Philly, and back, without a pitstop!

At work, at home, or on the road, keeping your truck charged is a breeze. With the standard 32-amp Ford Mobile Charger, you can charge the Lightning truck's lithium-ion battery pack from any traditional 120V or 240V outlet. The available extended-range battery also comes with the 80-amp Ford Charge Station Pro, with a peak charging power of 19.2 kW, giving you a full charge overnight.

The Ford Charge Station Pro also returns the favor with Ford Intelligent Backup Power. If the power ever goes out, your F-150 Lightning can be used to provide full-home power. This feature can be set to kick in automatically or manually to help make sure you aren't left in the dark.

Still "Built Ford Tough®"

Two inboard motors power a standard 4x4 system with a targeted 563 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque, providing plenty of power for your needs. The Lightning also accelerates faster than any F-150 yet. With impressive torque at near-zero RPM, it will take you 0 to 60 MPH in a targeted mid-4 second range.

Whether you're loading up a trailer for a weekend trip, or filling up the truck bed with materials, the Lightning can handle it. With a targeted 10,000 pounds of maximum towing capability, and a targeted 2,000 pounds of maximum payload capability, the Lightning can get the job done.

Without a traditional engine, the F-150 Lightning has more room up front to carry what you need. The Ford Mega Power Frunk, the Lightning model's front trunk, provides 14.1 cubic feet of cargo space and 400 pounds of payload capacity. That's plenty of Frunk space for extra luggage, a cooler, or a few bags of concrete.

The Lightning has even more available features to help you at work or at play. These include:

  • Four 120V outlets in Mega Power Frunk, two in cab, and four in the truck bed with an additional 240V outlet
  • Interior Work Surface that folds directly from center console with 4G LTE wireless hotspot
  • Tailgate Work Surface
  • Enhanced Zone Lighting

Powerful and Convenient

The F-150 Lightning comes standard with SYNC® 4 technology. With features like cloud-connected navigation, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, and voice recognition, SYNC® keeps you connected to whatever and whomever is most important to you.

The Lightning comes equipped with many more features that keep it simple and convenient to drive, including:

  • FordPass™ Power My Trip and Intelligent Range to help plan and optimize any trips
  • Ford Co-Pilot360™ 2.0 safety technologies
  • Advanced Towing & Hauling Technology
  • Normal, Sport, Tow/Haul, and Off-Road driving modes
  • BlueCruise hands-free driving technology
